The stages of building an elite performing team

To become elite performers, the team will evolve over time, stressing the importance of establishing long-lived teams rather than continually switching team setup around. Forming sees the team work naturally in silos as they familiarise themselves, whilst collaborative working begins at Storming. As the team reaches Norming, they begin to feel empowered and accountable for their shared goal as a team and upon entering Performing, thanks to continuous improvement and a relentless pursuit for new ways of efficiency, elite performance can be achieved.
